Hello! Looking for a fall rental!!
My husband, 4yo daughter and I are moving back to Western Washington this fall to grow our dog training business and homestead/mini farm (depending on property layout). We lived in Washington for almost 3 years but moved to a farm in Ohio to be closer to family when our daughter was born in 2022. Now that our daughter is older and business is doing well, we're packing everything up and moving shop to be closer to chosen family and where we feel we belong longterm- Washington state!
About our dog training business- We currently own and operate a dog training company named Wolfman's Canines and come with 4 personal dogs (all well trained)- who we use to train and rehabilitate/socialize other dogs. We started our family business in Washington in 2021 (Everett then in West Seattle). Wolfman’s Canines is licensed and insured in both Washington & Ohio (structural damage coverage included).
We are looking to rent for the first few years until we decide on a permanent place. Tacoma up to Bellingham, out to Granite falls is where we are looking currently. We are honestly more than anything looking for a place with a large enclosed yard or a few acres & detached garage/workspace as we need a space to conduct a portion of our dog training on-site. Needs to be at minimum 2br/1.5ba house. Our budget is variable and would be willing to spend more for the right property. We currently pay $2700 a month for a 2500sqft house with 3bd 1.75 bath, 3 car detached garage, a barn for our livestock (down to fowl and rabbits), and 7 acres. While we often travel to clients’ homes and will be doing most of the training at nearby parks & open spaces, we are looking for a landlord who is comfortable with us having a fluctuating range of 5-8 dogs on-site most days (in the yard & garage). We have operated this way for the last 5 years, renting in 3 very different residential areas in Washington, Colorado and Ohio (with 1/7 acre in West Seattle to 7 acres in Ohio). We do not allow for excessive barking and or unsupervised dogs on-site. Our relationship with our neighbors has always been a supportive & positive one, and we intend on keeping it this way moving forward as they end up often becoming clients! If desired, we would be happy to provide a collection of references from neighbors, clients & past landlords.
A bit more about us- I (Hannah) am 39yo and I am currently training to become a certified canine nutritionist. My background is in Anthropology & Clinical Psychology. I also work as the client relations/admin/marketing director for our company. My husband (Walter) 35yo is the lead canine behaviorist for Wolfman’s Canines, as well as a licensed electrician/farmer/all around handyman. Other than caring and training for dogs, we are both active outdoors, quiet/in bed by 9pm at home kinda people. You can find out a lot about us through our website. We don't drink or party. Prefer the quite farm life over big cities. We'd prefer not to share space with the property owner unless a good fit for everyone involved. Maybe you're no longer able to care for your established farm and don't want it to be turned into a strip mall or cookie cutter housing community. We'd LOVE to learn from you and keep your farm going! We have references from our current and previous landlords, as well as tons of personal refrences and business reviews. We also love to cook, garden, try our hand at a variety of DIY building/craft projects and of course, hang out with our (well trained) pups!
Please let us know when you'd be available for a phone call or to schedule a virtual/video showing! 2nd option- We have a number of friends and business partners who are local and would be willing to go check out the property in person. Looking to secure a location by the end of August, early September.
Thank you for your consideration and time!
Have a great day,
Hannah & Walter
